Jakarta, Wednesday, July 30, 2025 – Property issuer PT Repower Asia Indonesia Tbk (“Repower”) is partnering with Riscon Group to develop a subsidized housing project for low-income communities (MBR).
“The potential for development is 3,000 MBR housing units,” said Aulia Firdaus, President Director of PT Repower Asia Indonesia Tbk, to the media in Jakarta on Wednesday (July 30, 2025). Aulia explained that this project is expected to generate revenues of more than IDR 500 billion. “The target is for this collaborative project to be developed within the next one to two years,” he said.

During the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, Aulia Firdaus, President Director of PT Repower Asia Indonesia Tbk, stated that the company chose Riscon Group as its partner because of its extensive developer experience. “Riscon has developed more than 50 projects across Indonesia, with potential asset development of more than IDR 2 trillion and potential revenue of up to IDR 8 trillion,” he said.

In the initial phase, Aulia added, the land being developed will cover 14 hectares (ha) and will continue to grow to 30 ha. “The project locations are spread across several potential areas in West Java Province, namely Bogor, Serang, and Sumedang,” Aulia explained.

The potential for subsidized housing development in West Java is significant, considering that by 2023, the housing backlog in the province will reach around two million families. In this region, the government has set the price of subsidized housing at IDR 166 million per unit. He also stated that the collaboration between Repower and Riscon Group is part of an effort to support the government’s Three Million Homes Program.

In 2025, the government increased the target for subsidized housing development under the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility Home Ownership Credit (KPR FLPP) scheme from 220,000 units to 350,000 units.

“We want to play a role in providing affordable housing for the community, while also contributing to reducing the housing backlog, which has reached 9.9 million units nationally,” Aulia said.

According to Ari Tri Priyono, Chairman of the Association of Housing and Settlement Developers (Himperra), the increase in the FLPP mortgage quota demonstrates the government’s concern for the property sector and its commitment to the community, particularly low-income earners (MBR). “We are grateful that, under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, the Indonesian government is paying significant attention to the needs of its people, especially in terms of fulfilling housing needs,” said Ari, who also serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Riscon Group.

Through this strategic partnership, Repower is optimistic about strengthening its business performance in the future. Collaboration with experienced partners like Riscon Group is expected to be a driving force for new growth for the Company. For information, in the 2024 fiscal year, Repower successfully posted sales of IDR 115.89 billion and a net profit of IDR 24.13 billion. Based on this foundation, the Company is targeting increasingly solid performance along with the development of new projects, including subsidized housing for low-income earners.
